You can make a difference in protecting our wildlife

Become a Citizen Naturalist – what is a Citizen Naturalist? They are people who are concerned with the environment and choose to make a difference. All you need is a passion and you too can become a citizen naturalist.

Activities you can do

• Help clean up your local parks and streams
• Educate children about ecosystems and threats to wildlife
• Make your back yard critter friendly
• Conserve energy
• Join a conservation organization
• Incorporate native plants in your garden, this will welcome native animals
• Minimize use of herbicides and pesticides – buy organic and plant your own garden
• Reduce the likelihood of bird collisions with your windows by putting screens on, drawing shades or installing tilted window glass
• Slow down your driving when in areas with native animals
• EDUCATE YOURSELF!
